Letter from the President

The University of Tennessee Letterman’s T Club is recognized nationally as one of the top organizations of it’s kind. Past outstanding leadership provided a strong foundation for our current T Club. Combined with a commitment of excellence from our current letterman and university administration, all signs indicate bright days ahead.

The Lauricella Center continues to be our “Shinning Star” for game day activities. Thanks to letterman Hank Lauricella (football 1951) and wife Betty, the Tennessee letterman’s football game day experience has no rival. If you have not visited the Lauricella Center on game day, this is your invitation to come and join your fellow teammates for this unbelievable college football venue.

Another must see for all letterman is the Letterman’s Wall of Fame located outside Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex. The wall contains the names of former Vols who lettered in a NCAA sport at The University of Tennessee. The wall is set for expansion after plans are revealed for the demolition of Stokley Athletic center in the near future.

“Membership has it privileges”. The 2012 version of the Letterman’s board and its university support staff are focused on providing more diversified membership benefits. The goal is to make our club more supportive, in-tune and service oriented toward our members. Our efforts are centered on our membership as a whole in areas that most benefit all, with an emphasis on those individual letterman that may have lost touch with their school.

We also broke new ground when the first ever Lady Vol, Lisa McGill Reagan (Women’s Basketball 1976-80) was selected President Elect for 2013-2014. Lisa’s love for and commitment to UT made her an outstanding choice for future leadership of our organization.
We hope you will come and join us for all our many planned activities. From the letterman’s fall weekend, letterman’s picnic held each June at the McCord farm, to our letterman’s golf tournament planned the Friday before each spring football game all letterman are welcome. We look forward to seeing you.
